The first five minutes are always hard. The body must adapt to running and when it does, nothing is as rewarding as completing a long run!
Running long distances can be particularly challenging but music or audio books can take your attention away. Professional runners such as Olympic athlete, Usain Bolt, dubbed, ‘the worlds fastest man’, winner of 6 Olympic gold and 100 meter and 200 metre world records, clearly finds it easy to switch off.
Everyone has their limits. Personally, I find it difficult to run in the heat. It is very unpleasant but post-run, I feel great. my plans now consist of being lazy for the rest of the day.
