Weight loss is always about how much work are you willing to put in, not only into your training but also into your nutrition.
Kim’s diet was good, she has been more focused on her nutrition which is always a good start. She started her journey with us by attending our Thai Kickboxing Fitness sessions and later on progressed into personal training, but the strongest part is of her body transformation, weight loss journey is her discipline. She recognised the key fact- if you keep doing your homework outside of your personal training sessions, your investment into your training session with your trainer will be 10 times more effective!
We see people all the time who are just kept in limbo by their personal trainers, doing the same things over and over again and they are hardly progressing or even starting to regress! With Kim we have been able to move on end get things to the next level as she is disciplined and always did her homework- she went to the gym two or three times a week, in addition to Thai Kickboxing classes and some days she even trainedan hour before the Thai Kickboxing Fitness group personal training sessions! Although I do not recommend this as you have a higher chance of suffering injuries and recovery is a key element of weight loss. You can even lose muscle if you do too much.
Overall the 5 – 6 training sessions a week with a good diet pays off as you can see and it is not always about what you see on the scales. If you get a good ratio between your muscle mass and body fat your overall body composition will look good front of the mirror. Her arms are lean and her legs are strong, her posture has improved as has her body composition; her fitness goal is nicely achieved!
The next step is to keep pushing for more improvements and setting new goals, or to maintain what she has already achieved- the choice is hers.
