Sponsoring Race Driver Vlad Tomenchuk

Protom Fitness has announced its sponsorship of Vlad Tomenchuk, a 15-year-old British racing driver who is rapidly making a name for himself in junior motorsport. The partnership marks an exciting step for both the young driver and the fitness brand, which is throwing its support behind one of the country’s most promising emerging talents as he prepares for his 2026 campaign in the Ginetta Junior Championship.

Fast beginnings

Born in Cardiff and holding joint British and Ukrainian citizenship, Vlad began his motorsport journey in 2023, starting out in karting as a novice. Over the following two seasons he progressed quickly, competing in national and international events including the BNL Karting Series and going on to become a front-running driver, picking up podiums at the British Kart Championships. That grounding in high-level, wheel-to-wheel competition gave him the racecraft, consistency and composure that he is now carrying into car racing.

His step up came at the end of last season, when he made his car racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship. The transition gave him valuable experience on major UK circuits and a real understanding of how a car behaves at the limit, laying the foundations for a full season ahead.

Quick Progress

Reflecting on his progress, Vlad said: “2025 was an important learning curve for me. Driving a car was a big step for me and it was important to learn how a car works and understand the fundamentals.”

Looking ahead, his focus is firmly on building on those foundations. “My aim for 2026 is to have a strong season in the Ginetta Junior Championship and continue developing as a driver in a highly competitive environment,” he added.

The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s premier junior racing series and one of the most respected in global motorsport. Open to drivers aged 14 to 17, it runs identical Ginetta G40 Junior race cars, creating a level playing field where results come down to driver skill, racecraft and mental strength rather than machinery. Races take place at some of the country’s most iconic circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Oulton Park, often as part of major national race weekends. For 2026 the championship even heads abroad, featuring on a GT World Challenge weekend at Misano in Italy. It has a strong reputation as a launchpad for elite careers, with alumni including current Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, and Vlad’s own ambition is clear: to progress step by step up the motorsport ladder with the ultimate goal of reaching Formula 1.

Sponsorship deal

That is exactly where a partner like Protom Fitness comes in. Modern motorsport demands far more than quick reflexes and a good racing line. Drivers face significant physical loads, from neck and core strength to cardiovascular endurance, alongside the mental sharpness to stay focused across a race distance. Vlad is committed to becoming a complete professional athlete, with a strong focus on physical conditioning, mental performance, preparation and coachability. For a 15-year-old still growing and developing, building strength and conditioning the right way is a crucial part of long-term progression.

Personal training in Bristol

Protom Fitness brings a tailored, supportive approach to personal training, with ongoing feedback and communication at the heart of what they do. For a young athlete balancing the demands of racing, education and physical development, that kind of personal attention can make a real difference.

The sponsorship reflects a shared ethos between driver and brand: a commitment to steady, focused development and a determination to compete at the highest level. As Vlad prepares to mount his challenge for the 2026 Ginetta Junior Championship with Elite Motorsport, Protom Fitness will be right alongside him, helping him build the foundations for a strong season ahead.
